The Microplane Home Series Ribbon Grater uses a back-and-forth grating motion to create ribbon-like shreds. It works well with fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, zucchini, cabbage and other foods such as butter, chocolate, coconut, and hard and soft cheese. This grater has a molded plastic frame and handles with ribbing for a secure grip. The blade is made from surgical-grade stainless steel, and the grater features a non-skid base for added stability while grating. Use the included protective cover to safely store your grater—the food guard attachment is sold separately.
