Mechanically joins 1/2 inch water supply piping to male pipe threads. A unique elastomeric gasket ensures a leak-proof seal. They are usually used for a shower arm connection. Hand tighten only. This fitting seals by means of a gasket and the use of joint compound or PTFE thread tape is not necessary or recommended.
